Which are in your opinion the best and the worst for remixing songs, adjusting or cutting a song. Or even making your own?

I have used Autacity and it is great for cutting songs and recording, very simple and free.

Mac garage band, I only played with this thing for a few minutes in a store and dearly wished I'd have a mac computer. Because you can make your own songs by just hitting the keys on your keyboard.

Mixcraft was recommented to me by JZ, it is the windows version for mac's garage band, but you can only use a midi keyboard to make your own song in the style of garage band. And those midis are expensive.
But it is great for mixing stuff.

Adobe audition, comes with a lot of samples that don't work in the end.. LOL

This is my opinion, please share yours!
I wanted to mix britney spears songs into a steampunk remix, but I can't get anything to work LOL. Ready to call my tries a failure.
